This documentary reveals what made Motown special in Britain through the lens of two decisive moments in 1965 - the Motown Revue UK tour and The Sounds of Motown, Ready Steady Go! television special.

Arriving in London in March 1965, The Supremes, Martha and the Vandellas, Smokey Robinson and Stevie Wonder were bussed across Britain on a tough but crucial concert tour.

The television special, recorded during the tour, kicked open the door, thrusting Motown's slick routines and magical music into front rooms across the country.

Special appearances and commentary by Paul McCartney(The Beatles, Wings), Duke Fakir(The Four Tops), Martha Reeves(& The Vandellas), Claudette Robinson(The Miracles), Mary Wilson(The Supremes), Betty Kelly(The Vandellas), Motown VP Barney Ales, Funk Brother Tony Newton, Rosalind Ashford(The Vandellas), Singer Madeline Bell, Motown Charm School's Maxine Powell,
Motown Songwriters Lamont Dozier, Eddie & Brian Holland, and others. (00:58:59)

The DVD format also includes two bonus feature films: MOTOWN AT THE BBC and READY STEADY GO!: THE SOUNDS OF MOTOWN
