In this program, hosted by Quincy Jones and Chick Corea, a group of talented musicians celebrates the Downbeat Reader's Poll Awards of 1975. Musicians include George Benson on guitar; Stanley Clarke on bass; Freddie Hubbard on trumpet; Rahsaan Roland Kirk on saxophone; Hubert Laws on flute; Airto Moreira on percussion; Sonny Robbins on tenor saxophone; McCoy Tyner on piano; Bill Watrous on trombone; and Lenny White on drums.

The program begins with the all-star group paying tribute to recently departed jazz legend Julian Edwin "Cannonball" Adderley. Jones and Corea introduce Clarke, Tyner, and White, offering background information on their careers before the three musicians jam. Jones and Corea introduce Benson, Laws, and Watrous, who join in the jam session, and Corea joins the group as everyone plays his song, "Spain." Next, Jones introduces and praises the unique musician Roland Kirk, who demonstrates his musical prowess. Corea then introduces Rollins, who is joined by Tyner as they play Duke Ellington's "In a Sentimental Mood." Jones introduces a musical number from the group Weather Report, led by keyboard player Joe Zawinul, and Corea introduces Moreira and Hubbard, who play a spirited number. The program concludes with the entire group paying homage to Ellington. (01:00:06)
